Admittedly, one of the reasons we love Rock the Beat so much is because we’re not-so-closeted Queen freaks. Rock legends aside, this rapid gesture game also happens to be good for the brain. This is how it works: Players pound and clap to the tune of We Will Rock You and then the lead player substitutes a gesture from a comically-illustrated card for the clap. The next player has to remember and repeat the gesture and so on. This addictive party game forces your brain to multitask and is much harder than it looks, especially if there are adult beverages being served at the aforementioned party.

How to Play:

Each player receives a Gesture Card. All players begin creating the beat (think of Queen’s song “We Will Rock You” or Boom-Boom, Clap! Boom-Boom, Clap!). Once the rhythm has been established, the first player substitutes a gesture for the clap—twice. The first time, they use their own gesture in place of the clap. The second time, they use another player’s gesture. That player then repeats their gesture, and “passes” to another player by using that player’s gesture. Players receive a Penalty Card for breaking the rhythm or using the wrong gesture.

How to Win:

Player with the fewest penalty cards at the end of the game is the winner.
