Anomia is loads of fun to play. It's funny, too, when gibberish comes out of your mouth because you can't think of a word but want to spit something out. A group of 40-somethings played with our parents (65+) and kids (14-22) and it was still fun. The older generations felt a little overwhelmed but hung in there and had fun. As the game went on, they were able to give answers more easily. Anomia is my favorite new word game. (Posted on 2/21/13)

When my boyfriend brought it home from Marbles, i read the description and to be honest, was no really sold on it. Then we played it with two of our friends and I'm TOTALLY hooked. It's SO much fun and we laughed so hard! I was completely blown away because I was so wary from the start.

This game is fun to play, even when you think you're not good at it. You can feel it making you smarter. It's especially good for us over-50s who are starting to experience actual anomia. The more you play it, the better you will get at thinking fast and getting the word out. A warning: two of the categories, "Palindromes" and "Acronyms" often nonplus first time players. This has been my favorite word game since the first time I played it! The fast-paced action and heavy-hitting word association game play keeps me on my toes throughout the entirety of game play. That's really important because I get very hyper playing this game. (Posted on 7/24/12)
