This should be considered by therapists as a useful tool to discover underlying problems. Children come up with the most revealing stories when not thinking about themselves but just "making up" a picture cube story. It happened to me, unintentionally, when playing with a foster child.

I have bought about four of these...I love playing (or should I say storytelling) with my two young boys. We all get into it and hear stories that we would have never come up with if it were not for the story cubes! Great idea! (Posted on 8/22/11)

We thoroughly enjoy the game... fun variations of teams, individuals, round robbin...
The only complaint would be that the images are sometimes a little vague. We spent a lot of time just trying to interpret them. (Posted on 2/26/11)

We liked the concept but thought some of the pictures on the cubes were odd. we liked it best to have one person have to tell an entire story out of all of the cubes rather than going from person to person. (Posted on 1/24/11)

What a great idea that gives us many possibilities to learn to be creative. Provide as many cubes as you like to students, actors, friends and relatives to allow them to explore story making on the spot.
Best scenario, two to several people take turns on adding one dice and another aspect of the story until you come to a hilarious ending. Going to bring Rory's Story Cubes to family holiday gatherings and continue in the classroom. (Posted on 11/15/10)
