The Basics

How do I order online?

Simply click the Add to Cart button found on every product page. You may continue to add items to your basket until your order is complete. Click on your cart to return to your shopping cart from any page on the site. Click the Proceed to Checkout button and choose whether to register or login as a Guest. Then enter your shipping and billing address. (Please note, the billing address must match the address where your credit card statement is sent). Click the Continue button to choose your Shipping and Payment Methods. Review your order, then click the Place Order button to complete the order.

How do I order by phone?

Call us at (877) 527-2460. Our BrainCoaches are happy to help you with all your clever, brain-buying needs.

Do you have what I want to order?

'In Stock' - The product is currently available, and normally ships within 1 business day. Due to high order volume in November and December, in-stock items normally ship within 3-5 business days. Please note, however, that we do not ship products on Saturday, Sunday, or major US holidays.

'Out of Stock' - The product is not immediately available, but is on order with the supplier, and will be shipped to you as soon as possible (which, in most cases should only be a few days, but in some cases, could be 1-3 weeks after you place your order). If you’d like to know when it might be back, email us at info@marblesthebrainstore.com.

There are no additional charges for fulfillment of backordered items. The total you see on the receipt is exactly what we charge, regardless of whether it ships in a single box or multiple packages.

Payment

How do I pay for this stuff?

All prices listed on our website are in U.S. Dollars. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. For your protection, we screen credit card orders for potential fraud. Please ensure that your billing and shipping addresses are exactly correct, to avoid delays in order processing. Incorrect information may cause a delay in the processing of your order. Your order may also be delayed if additional verification of billing information is necessary.

Will I be charged sales tax?

Because our stores are located in California, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, we will be charging sales tax for orders shipped to those states. You will be charged according to the sales tax of the ship-to address within your state (if CA, IL, MD, MA, MN, NJ or PA).  Sales tax will not be charged for ship-to addresses in other states.

If you are a tax-exempt organization, please contact us at (877) 527-2460 for assistance. We will ask you to fax us a copy of your tax-exempt certificate to 773-360-1671 and you can place the order with us over the phone.

Do you accept purchase orders?

Yes! If you would like to place a purchase order for your school or business, we will need this simple credit application along with your purchase order. Email your order to: orders@marblesthebrainstore.com or fax it to: 773-360-1671. If you need any suggestions, please call us at 877-527-2460 and a BrainCoach will gladly assist you with your order. For orders below $100, please add $11 for UPS shipping. As always, orders over $100 ship for free.

Order Status

What does the Order Status and/or Product Status mean?

This indicates the current status of your order, or of each item within your order. There are several statuses:

'New' - Your order has been accepted and will be processed soon.

'Processing' - Your order has been transmitted to the packing/shipping department (or one of our distributors), and we are gathering all of your brainy items and preparing them to be shipped. (Note that your order could remain in this state for several days.)

'Partial Shipment' - Some of the items have been shipped. Your credit card has been fully charged at this point.

'Shipped' - Your order has been fully shipped. Your credit card has been fully charged at this point.

'Canceled' - Your order has been canceled and normally your credit card has not been billed. If it was billed, we have issued a proper refund which should appear on your next statement.

What are those "Incomplete Orders" in my account history?

Those are shopping carts that you have started but not completed. You can view the order and complete the order at any time in the future. Those orders stay with your account so, for example, you can start an order at work and then complete the order from home.

To delete an incomplete order from your account, hit the Complete this Order button. This will take you to where you left off in the order process. Once you are here, use our back button; at the bottom of the page (not your browser's back button) until you get to the shopping cart. Once you are at the shopping cart, remove all items from it. Once this is done, the incomplete order should disappear.

Cancellations and Returns

Can I make changes to my order?

If your order is still in the New status, we are able to make some changes. Please call us at 1-877-527-2460 as soon as possible to make these changes. If it is outside of our business hours, please follow the instructions below to cancel your order and place a new order with the required changes. We are not able to change items in your shopping cart, or add additional items to your order once your order has been completed.

Please note that our order fulfillment and shipping systems are designed to get orders on their way quickly and efficiently. Therefore, once the order has changed to the processing status, our customer service staff will not be able to make any changes to it.

Can I return my purchase?

You may return any items within 30 days of the purchase date for a full refund.
All returned products must be unopened and in their original packaging.

You will be responsible for the shipping costs. We do NOT charge a restocking fee. When we receive your return, we may need to contact you for more information to complete the refund. We will use the phone number or email address from your original order to contact you.

Mistakes and Defective Items

If you have received a defective item or if we goofed and sent you the wrong product, please contact us at support@marblesthebrainstore.com or call 1-877-527-2460 (Mon. – Fri. 9am-5pm CST) with the issue and your order number and we will sort things out.

Returning an Online Order to a Store

If you happen to live near one of our retail locations, you do have the option of returning your online purchase to one of our stores as long as the product is unopened and you have a copy of your packing slip or confirmation email.

Shipping

Is your shipping fast, or super fast?

Super fast. Unless our warehouse team has gotten into a really intense game of Scrabble, orders that are placed on a weekday before 12:00 noon will be shipped out the same day. If an item is marked "This item ships separately" or during times of heavy order volume (especially November and December), orders normally arrive within 3-5 business from the day they are placed. Generally, all items on backorder or out of stock are marked as such on the site. All shipping transit times quoted are business days (Monday-Friday), not calendar days.

For most domestic orders, you can choose between USPS Priority Mail, UPS Ground, UPS 2 Day, and UPS Next Day deliveries. You will receive an e-mail with a tracking number when your order ships. You will also be able to view your order status and tracking numbers in your account order history.

All shipments are delivered Monday-Friday except on US Holidays.

For orders shipping to Canada, we provide UPS shipping. Your package will usually arrive 5 business days and will have full door-to-door tracking. You will receive the tracking number in your shipping confirmation e-mail. You may be charged import taxes and fees for your order - please check with your customs office if you are unsure of these fees.

What about expedited shipping?

We know you want to get smarter faster, so we have expedited shipping options available for domestic orders. This includes Next Day, 2-day, and 3-day shipping options. Orders must be placed before 1pm Eastern Time Monday-Thursday to receive expedited delivery in the time frame specified; and only if items are in stock. Expedited delivery orders received after 1pm Eastern Time or on Friday/Saturday/Sunday normally ship the next business day. Some orders may be subject to verification of billing/shipping information, and may be delayed because of this.

During times of heavy order volume, especially November and December, expedited shipments may take up to 3-5 business days to process and ship, and shipping dates cannot be guaranteed, so please plan accordingly. We will post estimated processing times on the checkout page.

Will my expedited order arrive on Saturday?

No. We do not offer any expedited Saturday delivery options.  Weekends are critical to brain building.  All transit times are business days, not calendar days, unless otherwise specified.

Do you ship to PO Boxes?

Yes, select USPS Priority Mail if you would like to ship to a PO Box. 

How much is shipping?

It depends on what you are ordering, how much you are ordering, and where it is shipping. You can determine the cost of shipping your order by adding the items you want to the shopping cart and then proceeding through the checkout. You will need to fill out your shipping address in order to view the shipping options and cost. You will have the opportunity to review the shipping options and costs before submitting your order.

Do you offer free shipping?

For all orders being shipped within the contingent United States over $100, shipping is free. For orders being shipped to Alaska, Hawaii or Canada, applicable shipping charges still apply, even for orders over $100.

Do you ship outside the U.S.?

We are currently ship to the US and Canada only . We are researching the best way to handle overseas shipping options. We appreciate your patience as we figure it out.

Will I have to pay customs fees on my order to Canada?

Your may be charged customs fees (taxes, duties, processing fees, brokerage fees, etc.) when it arrives. Marbles has no control over these fees. If you are not familiar with the customs fees in your country, please check with your local customs office for more information. Also, because we are a retail store, we are NOT able to mark orders as 'Gifts' for customers to avoid paying these fees.

The shipping charges you pay to Marbles don’t include customs fees, import taxes, brokerage fees, or duties. If you refuse to pay the customs fees when your order arrives, the shipment will be returned to Marbles and we will be charged the customs fees plus return shipping costs. Therefore, we do not issue refunds for customs fees, shipping, or the cost of your order if you refuse to pay the customs fees.

Marbles has no way of estimating customs fees, taxes, duties, etc. so please do not ask us to do so. Please contact your local customs office if you need to know more.

It is possible that the delivery of your order could be delayed due to customs processing. If your order does not arrive in a reasonable amount of time, you should check with your local customs office to see if they are holding the package for payment of fees. Also, some customs offices will send a separate invoice for your customs fees that could arrive several weeks after you receive your shipment. Please be familiar with the customs laws in your country before you order!   Phew, that was a lot. Hope it helps.
