Great game

5

I came across this game in the store where the clerk asked if I would like to play. I was instantly sold. Simple rules but still a great strategy game. My friends and I have added a 20 sided dice(die) to add a little bit of luck and randomness. This is how we play. All die values on the die represent a single turn except the following.1 = loss of turn10 = lets you move your opponents pawn or set one of their own walls against them.20 = bonus moves. You get 2 moves instead of one. In any combination. Such as move your pawn 2 spaces, move your pawn 1 space and opponents pawn 1 space, move opponent pawn once and use one of their walls against them. etc. Its really fun to screw your opponent with 2 moves. Lots of frustration and excitement will be had.The die really adds a dynamic side to the game.

I wish I have one!!!

I cannot review this item yet because the ones I bought (2) were Birthday presents. As soon as I have my own, I will send you a review that for sure will be great. For now I love the wooden board and pieces quality, the chalenge looks good and the price is affordable. Just to send this comment out, I will give the ratings even when I don't own the game.

Simple rules, yet extremely challenging

5

There are just 5 easy rules. Yet, it is awesomely challenging to win against a skilled opponent when you have to decide whether to advance, block your opponent or strategically shape your own path. The game moves quickly and it's never the same twice. Definitely a battle of minds.

So simple, yet impossible to master. Incredibly addictive and fun

How To Play

How to Play:

Each player gets a pawn and ten gates. The pawns start on opposite sides of the board. In turn, players can choose whether they want to move their pawn one space up, down, left, or right (no diagonals); or place a gate somewhere on the board. Pawns have to maneuver around the gates with the goal of getting to the other side of the board. Pawns cannot be trapped by the gates - they have to be left with at least one way to get to the other side.

How to Win:

The first player to get to the opposite side of the board is the winner.
