Gather your brainy friends, break out the party snacks and put on your very best hazmat suit. You’re going to need it to play Strain—an infectiously fun game of viruses, toxins and cunning little microorganisms. In the race to create the strongest microorganisms, players deploy toxin attacks and unleash viruses to weaken their opponents. But like all great complex strategy games, there’s a catch: attacking your opponents also leaves your organism more vulnerable to attack. So you have to maintain a delicate balance of making yourself weaker to grow stronger and win the game.

How to Play:

Build your Creature! Shuffle the three types of tiles (Cytoplasm, Organism, & Petri Dish) face-down into draw piles. Moving clockwise around the table, players take turns make of three phases:
   1. Awaken Phase - Draw 3 tiles from the draw piles.
   2. Evolve Phase - Players either BUILD onto their organism with a Cytoplasm tile or BATTLE their opponent with a Toxin tile.
   3. Shed Phase - Score points by completing an organism. In this phase, players must discard (shed) all but 4 tiles in their hand.

How to Win:

The first player to score 12 points is the winner!
