How to Play: For a 3x3 puzzle, you will only use the numbers 1,2,& 3. For a 4x4 puzzle, you will only use the numbers 1,2,3,&4. etc. Each puzzle will either use one type of mathematical operator or a combination (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). The darkened boxes are called cages. There is a target number inside each cage. Use the numbers available and the mathematical operators indicated to reach the target number. Numbers cannot be repeated in a column or a row. If a target number is in a caged box by itself, that is the answer for that square. How to Win: If you successfully use every number available without repeating a number in a column or row, the puzzle is solved (check your answer in the back of the book!).
