Once upon a time in a Brooklyn basement, there was an 84-year-old inventor who tinkered away creating one failed invention after another. Then one day (80 failed inventions later), he was cutting up plastic tiles and came up with the idea for Dabble, Creative Child Magazine’s 2011 Game of the Year. This fast-paced word skills game gives each player 20 letters and five minutes to come up with words of two, three, four, five or six letters. How to Play:

Each player gets a 5-tier rack and 20 letter tiles. Set the timer. Players have 5 minutes to arrange their letter tiles to create a 2-letter, 3-letter, 4-letter, 5-letter, and 6-letter word.

How to Win:

The winner of the round receives points for the combined total of the unused tiles of their opponents. To win, be the first player to reach 100 points.
