When we opened our first store in 2008, there was hope that it would be a successful endeavor, but no guarantees: it was the middle of a recession, and our earlier incarnation as a mall kiosk was a resounding failure. But our CEO Lindsay had a vision and a team committed to making it work. Three and a half years later, we have opened 18 locations in the Midwest and on the East Coast. We are pretty thrilled to announce that our 19th location will be opening today, May 26th. Marbles has made it to the West Coast!
Topanga Mall
Marbles: The Brain Store vetted multiple location choices before settling on the Topanga Mall, in Canoga Park, CA, 25 miles or so from downtown Los Angeles. There won’t be a red carpet or klieg lights cutting through the night sky, and the paparazzi will probably ignore it. Still, we’re pretty excited to be here and continue our store’s mission to bringing, brain-boosting fun games and products to people of all ages, from toddlers to grandparents!
Over the next 2 months we’ll be opening 4 other locations across California and 2 more in Maryland. If you live in the greater Los Angeles area, please come in to our newest location and say hello to our BrainCoaches. They’ll introduce you to the great products we have, and answer any questions about the brain health benefits of all of our products. There may even be a movie star or two, looking for the perfect brain-strengthening activity to help pass the long hours on set.
