Top 5 Games For Super-heroes

It’s all well and good to give recommendations for Grads and Moms, but there’s one group that we have been neglecting at Marbles: The Brain Store.  Fictional characters. We’re using today’s post for some recommendations to help them strengthen and improve their cognitive skills. Following are our Top Picks for Characters in Pop Culture.

Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games

Katniss

Katniss will need strong Critical Thinking & Coordination skills to survive

She may not be a superhero in the traditional sense, but the Girl on Fire has all the qualities of one. She comes from poor District 12, and volunteers in her sister’s place to participate in the brutal Hunger Games that the dystopian future country of Panem uses to punish the districts who, many years before, rebelled against the all-powerful Capitol. She’s smart, strong, and sensational with a bow and arrow. Katniss may be the heroine of this popular trilogy of books, but she could use some help strengthening her coordination and critical thinking skills.

The Spooner Board should help Katniss with her balance and coordination, so when training for the Games it will help strengthen her reflexes, her lower extremity muscles, and her cerebellum as she manipulates the board and makes her way through the evil Capitol’s challenges. Strategy is important to both Katniss and Peeta, her fellow Tribute, so we would recommend Eternas to challenge their Critical Thinking and decision-making skills.

Batman / Bruce Wayne from The Dark Knight Rises

The Dark Knight Rises

Even superheroes need to strengthen their skills

Things are looking dark for Gotham City—supervillains wreaking destruction; the city turns to its famous Caped Crusader one more time. But it’s been a few years, and Batman’s gonna need all his tools at his disposal if he is to defeat Gotham’s newest menace. To keep his visual perception and eye-hand coordination sharp, we recommend Pajaggle. He can practice matching wits with Catwoman with a rousing game of Anomia. If he can come up with an example of  a super power before she comes up with an example of an ice cream flavor, the day will be saved!
