While the book does lean towards a vegan lifestyle, the Amens have included healthy alternatives for the carnivores amongst us. Chicken and turkey, when prepared correctly, are both low fat and protein rich. And as I learned in Change Your Brain, Change Your Body, protein is a brain’s best friend!
